• Myranda's Troubled Morning (3:22-5:18): Myranda wakes up to a chaotic household, dealing with a demanding and rude stepfather, Tommy, who is dismissive of her mother's requests. She faces bullying at school, particularly from a girl named Tarshay (6:07-6:25), who flirts with Myranda's crush, Brandon.
• School Announcements and Warnings (7:22-8:17): During class, the principal announces that a man in a Halloween costume has been seen lurking on Calcite Drive, a street near the school, advising students to stay home for safety.
• Myranda's Class Struggles and Harassment (8:34-11:06): Brandon becomes distressed when he believes he sees the man in a costume outside the school, but the teacher, Ms.Claire, dismisses his concerns. Myranda is later subjected to a cruel prank when a spider is placed on her back, causing her to fall and be ridiculed by her classmates, especially Tarshay and Olivia.
